I have such fun stuff to share.
Remember I got invited to give a drawing workshop for kids during the Kinderboekenweek (Dutch Children's book Week)?
Well, it turned out to be a lovely day with amazing results that I'm going to share with you in this blog update.
It was Saturday, October 10th, when you could find me in Rosmalen (NL) at bookstore De Omslag. I was warmly welcomed by Margot and her team, who arranged everything perfectly. The shop's window display was nicely decorated (and even had a special section for my books!), and there was a table with a cheerful tablecloth, laden with drawing supplies and sweets for the kids.
That day, two small groups of young artists stopped by to learn how to draw August the Fox and Suzy Squirrel with me. And the results were so lovely! Just take a look at the gallery below.
Of course, I couldn’t have done any of this without my dear assistant Coen, who introduced me to the children at the beginning of each workshop, and provided them with paper and drawing supplies , and answers to their questions whenever needed.
We had such a fantastic day, and I hope the children did too.
