Food is the ingredient that binds us together

I really enjoy working on food art as there are so many lush colors and textures or unusual shapes to capture (fruit, for example). The only downside is that it may become a tad bit tantalizing when painting a particularly tasty-looking dish or snack.

Food Illustrations by Miriam Bos

This collection of food illustrations and food art in general celebrates the beauty, color, and joy found in our culinary creations. From fresh fruits and vegetables to baked goods, drinks, and charming kitchen scenes, these artworks bring delicious moments to life.

As an artist, I’m always inspired by the textures, shapes, and vibrant colors of food. Whether it’s a hand-painted watercolor of a ripe strawberry or a joyful repeat pattern of bananas, I aim to capture the food in a delicious way, but with a touch of humor.

I work with a blend of traditional media and digital techniques, combining paint, pencil, and crayon to create food art with a tactile, handmade feel. This way of working enables me to convey both realism and a playful, illustrative style, suitable for a wide range of projects like illustrated cookbooks, editorial spreads, packaging design, menus, greeting cards, and kitchenware branding. They are perfect for projects that seek to evoke appetite, and ideal for food magazines, culinary blogs, product packaging, restaurant branding, and home decor.
