Wildflowers don't care where they grow
-Dolly Parton
Admittedly, I don’t very often draw people. But when I do, I enjoy it and like to embrace diversity. I don’t think we can do that enough.

Illustrations of people by Miriam Bos
This collection of people illustrations features portraits in different styles, some everyday scenes, and character-driven storytelling.
With these illustrations, I try to highlight the charm and diversity of human life.
As an illustrator, I enjoy capturing the small gestures, moods, and connections between people. My people illustrations range from stylized portraits and editorial scenes to character designs for picture books and products. I like to explore personality, warmth, diversity, and emotions in my work,
I use a combination of traditional and digital techniques, including gouache paint, pencils, and crayons, to give my illustrations a rich, handmade quality. My style is colorful, layered, and slightly quirky, with a focus on storytelling through body language, color, and texture.
My character illustrations have been featured in a variety of editorial works, including picture books, advertising campaigns, puzzles, greeting cards, and surface design projects. They’re a good fit for clients seeking expressive, joyful, and human-centered artwork with heart, and sometimes, when required, a touch of humor.
If you’re looking for custom people illustrations, character-based art, or want to collaborate on a story-driven project, feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
