”Old Maid is a card matching game played with 2 or more players. The objective of the game is to pair up all of your cards while trying to avoid the odd card with the juggling T-rex by the end of the game.”
PLAYING INSTRUCTIONS
Old Maid game with Dinosaurs
•From 4 years old
•20 min
•3 to 4 players
•39 cards, 19 pairs, and 1 juggling T-rex (aka old maid)
GOAL OF THE GAME:
Not to end the game with the juggling T-rex in your hand!
PLAYING THE GAME:
The youngest player begins and the game is played in a clockwise direction.
• Deal all the cards among the players.
• Each player puts together a maximum of pairs (two identical cards) and places them in front of him.
• The first player draws a card at random from the deck of the player to his left. If this card allows him to form a new pair, he places it in front of him. Otherwise, he keeps it in his game. In all cases, it is the next player to play.
• The game continues in this way until all pairs are matched.
END OF THE GAME:
The game ends when all pairs have been matched. The loser is the one who ends up with the juggling T-rex; all the other players are the winners.
WHAT HAPPENS IF …
• You want more suspense?
We remove the juggling T-rex and 1 other random card from the game before starting. We will not know until the end of the game which card was the juggling T-rex or Old Maid!
• Do you want to play another game?
Just remove the card juggling T-rex card to change it into a classic memory game!
