Fantasy! I love it!
It’s a recurring theme in my work. I’m often asked to illustrate fantasy-themed subjects like unicorns, mermaid princesses, pixies, or just fairy tales in general.
This time, these princesses happen to have actual legs instead of a shimmering fishtail, and the setting is on land instead of the deep sea.
The princesses are busying themselves taking care of and pampering the royal unicorns. An important task that shouldn’t be underestimated. 😁
A small delay:
This illustration, I made in December of 2024, just on the treshold of the new year.
Due to some personal circumstances, the illustration was somewhat delayed, and so was the production. But now it’s published and available on the website of Crocodile Creek.
I created a design for both the front of the box and the inside puzzle. For the front, I repurposed elements from the main illustration, but I modified the castle by minimizing its towers and shape. This allowed us to design a castle-shaped box for the puzzle.

Where can you buy it.
In the Netherlands, there are some game and toy shops that carry Crocodile Creek. In Apeldoorn, I know that Villa Wammus at the Kapelstraat sells products from Crocodile Creek, and in Deventer, I remember finding them at Speel je Wijs at the Walstraat.
If you’re not located in the Netherlands, I assume you can find the puzzles online, and possibly in your local shops. So if you’re looking for this specific puzzle for your kids, I hope you can find one. 🙂
