Spicy Oat milk – an illustrated recipe

Spicy Oatmilk⚡️

This is a recipe that might not be for everyone. It’s not sweet but rather warm and spicy; rather a brew that I like to make every now and then.
The basic ingredient is the Oatmilk from the company @oatly.
They are a great company who try to make less impact on our environment while making great products. Their packaging designs are funny and witty too. You should definitely check them out. I really love their drinks as they are a great replacement for milk. For this particular recipe, I used the fresh packs of Oatmilk.

The recipe is fairly easy;

Take half a cup of Oatmilk.
Heat it up (I use the microwave – 1 minute).
Add 1 tsp of cacao powder,
Add 1 tsp of turmeric powder,
Add 1 tsp of cayenne pepper.
Then you use a milk frother and foam it up until it’s nice and fluffy.

Of course, you can change the measurements to your own taste.

All three added ingredients have a very distinct flavor. It might even be nice with honey to sweeten it up. But I never needed it myself.
I personally like to add some crushed anise seed, and people on Instagram already let me know that it tastes great with a pinch of cinnamon and/or cardamom too.

Slight disclaimer:

This recipe came from a person (me) who also eats 99% and 100% chocolate bars. And that’s also something that’s not for everyone.

If you try it, let me know what you think.
But don’t say that I didn’t warn you! Haha.

Have a great day!
